DWI for Head and Neck Lesions

In the January issue of AJNR you will find a nice article on the use of DWI for differentiating between orbital inflammatory and lymphoid lesions.  Other articles, already published in AJNR or listed in our publication preview section describe the use of DWI in the evaluation of parotid and thyroid glands lesions.  Restricted diffusion has a high correlation with malignancy independent of the site of origin of tumors.  It is obvious that DWI will play a significant future role in the evaluation of head and neck lesions.
