Cervical spine nomenclature
The ASNR/ASSR nomenclature document was specific for the lumbar spine. I would be interested in your opinion on the correct terminology for cervical spondylosis: what terms and why. Specifically, that ridge of dark stuff on all sequences on MR… what is it? ”Spondylotic ridge”, “osteophytic ridge”, “disc / osteophyte complex”, “bulge / osteophyte complex”, plain old herniation or other? I will give my biased view that “bulge / osteophyte” might be appropriate since “disc” is so nonspecific.
